Over the past few months, RSSB has been working with Costain to develop a multi-factor authentication solution for their employees to log onto the RISQS portal, as part of their Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001 certifications.

Following the volume of clarification requests from the supply chain, and a need to support the industry in lowering the number of non-conformances being raised, RISQS have introduced a new protocol, as well as refreshing all previous protocols.

Network Rail has recently updated its drugs and alcohol (D&A) standard. The number of in scope employees and sub-contractors to be randomly selected for a test each year has been increased from 5% to 20%.

At the behest of Network Rail, the RISQS team are pleased to announce the launch of the Principal Contractor License (PCL) module. 

In April 2022, RSSB (Rail Safety and Standards Board) released the revised Railway Industry Commodity Classification List (RICCL). This confirms the services that fall within the remit of the CDM regulations, and the services requiring an audit against the CDM Module as prescribed by the standard NR/L2/SCO/302 Module 2.
